Your own cloud, at home and for good

Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox and iCloud charge you every month to store what's yours, and they keep it on their servers. A private cloud does the same job from a computer in your home: your files and photos anywhere, but on your disks. LGM-OS is what turns that computer into your cloud.

What you do in the cloud, but on your disks

• Your files from anywhere, in the browser or with the LGM Connect app for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.
• Phone photos copied automatically by the app, and sorted by date in the Gallery, with albums, videos and each photo's details.
• Share with a link, with a password and an expiry date, even a whole album.
• Calendar and contacts synced with your phone, without going through Google or Apple.
• Everyone at home gets their own space, plus shared folders for the family.
• Office documents in the browser, without uploading them anywhere.

No subscription and no gigabyte limit

A paid cloud charges you more the more you store, every month, forever. Here the only limit is the size of your disks, and when they fill up, you add another one. The licence is paid once and it's yours for life.

From outside your home, without opening your router

The LGM Connect app reaches your cloud from anywhere without touching your router or opening ports to the internet. If you'd rather do it your way, you also have your own VPN.

Your data stays at home

Your files live on your disks and aren't sent anywhere. If you want a copy away from home —and you should— it goes encrypted to the cloud you choose: all they'll see is data they can't read.

The usual questions

Is it as easy as Google Photos?

For everyday use, yes: the app copies your phone photos on its own and the Gallery sorts them by date, with albums and videos. The difference is that they live on your disks and you don't pay for storage.

What if a disk fails?

With two mirrored disks you lose nothing, and the server tells you to replace the broken one. You can also send an encrypted copy to another cloud, just in case.

Do I need to open ports on my router?

No. The LGM Connect app reaches your cloud from outside your home without touching the router.

Can the whole family use it?

Yes. Each person has their own user and space, and there are shared folders for everyone. Each person sees their own files and whatever is shared with them.
