LGM-OS

Download LGM-OS

The complete installer: boot from a USB stick, it installs Debian with LGM-OS on top and when it finishes the panel is waiting in your browser. No account and no card.

Download the installer

60 days to try it

Check the download is complete

Run sha256sum lgm-os-installer.iso and compare with:

ac0c6f33da2c8f3f734e7c109b08a144c3c41459a218a843f6bbb3a1cd142159
  1. Write the image to a USB stick with balenaEtcher or Rufus in DD image mode.
  2. Boot the machine from the USB stick and follow the installer: it asks for the NAS name, your username and which disk to install on.
  3. Open the panel in your browser. Create your administrator account and you are in.
The disk you pick in the installer gets formatted. Install it on the machine that is going to be the NAS, not on your everyday computer. Your data disks are set up afterwards, from the panel, and those are not touched.

From Linux, with no tools:

sudo dd if=lgm-os-installer.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress conv=fsync

The documentation covers the rest: first boot, first volume and first folders. And the licence, whenever you like.
